Aimee Campos
Aimee Campos is a Southern California native. She is a first-year Creative Writing student in the Masters of Fine Arts program at Mount St. Mary’s. Aimee is a full-time freelance writer. She received her Bachelor’s in Creative Writing at the University of La Verne.
Aimee’s most recent piece was published in the Mosaic Art & Literary journal. Her experience includes serving as editorial staff for the University of La Verne’s Prism Review. Aimee enjoys writing about the strange and sentimental. A few of her favorite things are reading, writing, exploring coffee houses, and watching her favorite television shows on loop.
Monica Aleman
Monica Aleman is a Salvadoran-American writer native to Los Angeles, California.
She earned an Associate’s degree in English Literature from Citrus College, a Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, Los Angeles, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
Monica contributed to the translation of Art Exhibition-Tradition and Innovation: Italian Olympic Sport by Renata Freccero. The book was part of an Italian art exhibit during the London 2012 Olympics by Casa Italia CONI.
She is currently dabbling in children’s literature. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and travel with her husband, Tanner.
Jose Palacios
Jose Palacios was born in Bogota, Colombia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English, a Computer Information Systems degree and a Masters in Business Administration in Project Management. Jose has served as co-editor for Inscape Magazine and has been published in Statement Magazine.
He is currently pursuing MFA in Creative Writing. Jose teaches computer classes for a non-profit in South Central Los Angeles. His activities include painting, drawing, practicing martial arts, writing short stories, scripts, and helping to adapt short films. Jose lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and three sons.

Elissa Galadriel Faye
Elissa was born in Hollywood, California at home to hippie parents who named her after an elf. She is in her first year of the Masters of Fine Arts Creative Writing Program at Mount St. Mary’s. Elissa received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount St. Mary's.
Elissa writes horror stories about social issues like homelessness, mental illness, and sexual violence against women and children. She loves to spend her free time with her rescue cats and dogs drinking way too much coffee, reading, and watching horror movies.
Laura Ingrid
Laura Ingrid is a San Fernando Valley native. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Mount Saint Mary’s University and is currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Her work has appeared in Indolent Books and The Bull Magazine. In her free time, she enjoys road trips to San Diego, thrifting, and watching campy 80s films
